Event Description

Good Morning Sierra Vista is a networking event that happens on the second Tuesday of each month designed to bring together the entire Sierra Vista Community. Business owners, community leaders, non-profits, and their staff members will benefit from attending. This program provides City of Sierra Vista, U.S. Army Fort Huachuca, Cochise County, Community, and Sierra Vista Area Chamber of Commerce updates as well as a great networking opportunity while enjoying breakfast.
Don’t forget to bring your business cards for networking and the door prize drawing.

The keynote speaker will be Matt Gress, Director of the Governor’s Office of Strategic Planning and Budgeting.
A recognized expert on Arizona policy, budgetary, and fiscal issues, Matt was appointed by Arizona Governor Doug Ducey in 2017 to lead the State in crafting a balanced, responsible and sustainable budget that protects taxpayers and invests in essential programs. Prior to his appointment, Matt served as Policy Advisor to Commissioner Andy Tobin at the Arizona Corporation Commission, the State’s utility regulator, and as a Senior Fiscal Analyst at the Arizona Joint Legislative Budget Committee. Matt earned his master’s degree in public administration, with a focus on state and local government, from Syracuse University. He taught English in Tulsa Public Schools as a member of Teach for America and also worked as a faculty associate at Arizona State University. Matt is active in his community, serving as a governing board member for the Madison Elementary School District in central Phoenix. Matt earned a bachelor’s degree in political science and history from the University of Oklahoma.
